provides a variety of UV and IR flame scanners which accurately detect the presence or absence of flame in a combustion chamber. Our scanners include advanced sensors and algorithms that can discriminate its target burner from adjacent flames in the same combustion chamber. Our scanners can be used with all fuel types and burner configurations. Our inSight® and Phoenix™ families are integrated designs which include all the appropriate detection and amplification circuitry in one compact unit.
Description:The Fireye InSight® II Type 95DSS3 flame scanners are microprocessor-based flame scanners utilizing solid-state infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) sensors.
The Fireye InSight II flame scanners incorporate two internal flame relays with adjustable ON/OFF thresholds and two 4-20 mA analog outputs, thereby eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier.
The Fireye InSight II scanners are powered by 24 VDC and have electronic self-checking. Model 95DSS3-1 has one 8-pin and one 12-pin electrical cable quick disconnect. Models 95DSS3-1CEX and -1WICEX have internal terminal blocks for cable connection. The scanners have either an attached Keypad & VFD display or an infrared transmitter for a remote handheld keypad/display.

Description:The Fireye InSight® Type 95DSS2 flame scanners are microprocessor-based flame scanners utilizing solid-state dual (IR and UV) sensors.
The Fireye InSight Type 95DSS2 flame scanners incorporate an internal flame relay with adjustable ON/OFF thresholds, thereby eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier. All Fireye inSight scanner models are powered by 24 Vdc, have either a twelve-pin electrical quick disconnect or 10 ft. cable (“CG” models), and contain electronic self-checking (no mechanical shutter required). The scanners contain an eight-character alpha-numeric LED display and a four push-button keypad to enable the user to view operating parameters and select setpoints.

Description:The Fireye Simplicity™ 65UV5 self-checking scanners are used to detect ultraviolet emissions from fossil fuel flames such as natural gas, coke oven gas, propane, methane, butane, kerosene, light petroleum distillates and diesel fuels.
The 65UV5 scanner is available with a one-second or four-second flame failure response time (FFRT) depending on the model selected. The “E” versions are one-second FFRT, the non ”E” versions are four seconds FFRT. The Fireye 65UV5-1004QD and 1004EQD flame scanners provide an analog 4 to 20 mA output referenced to flame signal strength.
Main Features:
Fully integrated design – a true one-piece system
No programming – minimal setup – ‘out of the box’ operation
Superb detection, sensitivity and wide angle of view
Proven and reliable technology
Worldwide safety agency approvals
Rugged NEMA 4X (IP66) housing
Hazardous Area Classification

Description:The Fireye Phoenix Series 2 type 85UVF/IRF flame scanners are microprocessor-based devices utilizing a solid-state flame detection sensor.
The Phoenix flame scanners incorporate an internal flame relay with automatically set ON/OFF thresholds, thereby eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier or flame switch.
Phoenix scanners detect the amplitude of the modulations (the flame “flicker”) that occur within the targeted flame, over a wide frequency. During the scanner setup procedure, the amplitudes of the target flame are automatically stored by the flame scanner, together with optimum ON/OFF criteria. The appropriate sensor gain is automatically selected. Phoenix scanners incorporate full self-diagnostics and electronic self-checking.
Typical Applications:
Duct Burners
Industrial Gas Burners
Refinery Applications
Low NOx Burners
Waste Gas Units
Incinerators

Description:The InSight Series 4 scanners utilize advanced techniques for discrimination and integrate the flame detection, amplification, safety determination and flame switch functions into a single detection head.
InSight Series 4 incorporates the superior detection and discrimination elements of the popular InSight II product with some enhanced features.
The scanner measures the amplitude of the modulations (the flame “flicker”) that occur within the targeted flame. During the scanner set-up procedure, the modulation frequency that yields the best flame ON/OFF discrimination is selected. The appropriate modulation frequency and sensor gain can be either manually or automatically selected.

Description:Flame scanner cooling in high ambient temperature applications
An effective solution to assit in maintain the Fireye InSight II flame scanner’s temperature below its published limit. In high ambient temperature applications additional cooling can be required. Cooling air is applied to the space between the cooling cover and the InSight II flame scanner. This can help maintain the a lower scanner temperature.
