The new FALCON headend series incorporates proven WISI signal processing technology, offering future-proof solutions across versatile model versions. The platform is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing adaptation to various market requirements through configurable options.
The FALCON headend enables transmodulation of up to 12 input channels—including DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2, or DVB-C—into up to 16 DVB-C or DVB-T output channels.
Thanks to the integrated switching matrix, polarisation levels can be easily assigned to receiver tuners without requiring external hardware—reducing both cost and installation time.
Models featuring CI slots support centralised decryption using up to eight CAM modules. Multiplexing at the CI input enables optimal usage of CAM capabilities, allowing for multiple programme decryptions across different transponders or terrestrial channels.
Additionally, output multiplexing allows programs to be assigned flexibly across output channels while respecting bandwidth limitations defined by DVB-C or DVB-T standards. The system can also ingest external media via USB ports, integrating video clips into broadcast streams.
The provision of attractive TV programs is a vital tool for tenant retention in the housing industry and guest satisfaction in the hospitality sector. Many small-scale operators—such as housing estates, hotels, guesthouses, and residential homes—opt for satellite reception due to its reliability and wide range of available content.
A thorough on-site analysis of the existing distribution infrastructure, building layout, and specific requirements is essential before planning a satellite distribution system. WISI offers specialized software tailored for installation planning, ensuring the optimal configuration of reception and distribution components.
The standard for distributing satellite signals is the star-type topology. In larger complexes, multi-switches are installed and can be connected in series, based on the number of rooms or housing units. A key advantage of multi-switches is their additional input for aerials, which allows the integration of local DVB-T and VHF signals into the satellite feed. A satellite distribution system is only as reliable as its weakest link—using WISI’s high-quality Class A components ensures robust and uninterrupted performance.

Compact, efficient, and smart – the Micro Headend is engineered specifically for hospitality environments. It handles signal reception, decryption, conversion, and distribution – all within a single device – helping you save on space, costs, and complexity.
Unlike conventional systems, the Micro Headend supports static Service IDs, a premium feature typically found only in high-end headends. This means that once a TV stores a service, that ID remains consistent—even if the underlying broadcast changes. No need to rescan channels, saving time and effort during updates.
Hotel-branded content such as a welcome message, property highlights, or promotions can be uploaded via USB or web interface as MPEG TS files. These videos are stored internally and broadcast just like regular TV channels—no additional sources or modulators required.
Each Micro Headend supports up to 4 CI slots for decrypting encrypted channels. Thanks to central decryption, you only need a few smartcards and CAMs for the whole building instead of installing them in every TV.
With the built-in pre-CI multiplexing, services from multiple input channels can be grouped together and decrypted using a single CAM, enhancing smartcard efficiency. Plus, unnecessary services can be removed before broadcasting, and output channels can be optimized using the system’s advanced multiplex functionality.
