Clean Agent Systems

Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems are the preferred fire suppression solution for facilities that cannot afford the downtime associated with a fire or typical water-based fire suppression systems. Clean Agent systems extinguish a fire quickly by breaking down the molecular structure of the fire. The suppression agents do not harm the equipment or personnel in the protected room or cause a mess to clean up afterwards.

Clean Agents are non-toxic when used in compliance with NFPA Standard 2001. They do not impair breathing or obscure vision in an emergency situation, providing an added measure of safety for personnel.

CO2 Systems

The Kidde High Pressure Carbon Dioxide System is ideal for industrial processes where flammable materials and vapors present a potential fire hazard.

Kidde CO2 Fire Suppression System is an engineered system available in three application configurations: total flooding (for unoccupied areas), local application or hand-hose line. Gaseous carbon dioxide rapidly suppresses fire by a combination of cooling and oxygen displacement. Discharge duration and agent flow rates are customized for the individual application.

Inert Gas Systems

Inert gas fire suppression systems are fast-acting, environmentally friendly, safe for people and sensitive equipment. These gaseous fire systems mix inert gases and chemical agents to extinguish a fire.

The Kidde Argonite™ system is an engineered system for total flooding of an enclosed space. It extinguishes a fire by means of reducing the oxygen content within a room to the point at which fire can no longer burn, but without compromising the safety of individuals present.

Argonite™ is a simple blend of 50% Argon gas and 50% Nitrogen gas with a density similar to that of air. Both Argon and Nitrogen are clean, naturally occurring gases that are readily available throughout the world. The system has no direct global warming or ozone depletion potential. Argonite™ requires minimal post-fire cleanup and will not decompose or produce any by-products when exposed to a flame from a fire situation.

Nitrogen fire suppression systems utilize pure Nitrogen, which is naturally occurring gas present in the atmosphere. It is safe for use in occupied spaces and poses no threat to the environment. Nitrogen operates as a fire suppressant by reducing the oxygen content within a room to a point at which the fire will extinguish, without compromising the safety of individuals present in the room. Nitrogen will not decompose or produce any by-products when exposed to a flame.

Kitchen Fire Suppression System

The Kidde Wet Chemical Kitchen Fire Suppression System offers 24-hour automatic or manual protection for commercial cooking areas; ducts, plenums, hoods and cooking surfaces. The wet chemical agent is designed for quicker flame knockdown and faster suppression.

The Kidde WHDR™ System is a cost-effective, pre-engineered fire protection solution designed for a quick and easy installation. The system offers unmatched coverage, with fewer discharge nozzles and flow points than the competition, meaning reduced installation time and cost. It exceeds stringent UL 300 standard and complies with NFPA Standards 96 and 17A.
